About Us

We're Al Hardesty's Strike Shop, and we're a premier bowling supply shop in Tinley Park, IL. Since 1999, we've specialized in custom fitting and drilling to meet each bowler's unique needs. We offer a variety of bowling supplies and services to help you perfect your game. We're looking forward to partnering with Orland Park, New Lenox, Frankfort, Mokena, and the surrounding areas to continue to provide customers with the most innovative and high-quality bowling products available on the market today, as well as providing exceptional customer service! Our Story

We’re Al Hardesty's Strike Shop, a premier bowling alley in Tinley Park, IL! Our owner and founder, Al Hardesty, learned how to drill bowling balls and customize them at 17 while working for a distributor. He grew a strong passion for the industry and decided to open his own business in 1996. Since then we’ve continued to grow and provide the local area with high quality and technical bowling products for the Chicago area!

At Al Hardesty’s Strike Shop, our top priority is making sure customers are satisfied and get the products they are hoping for. We’re here to answer any questions and direct you to the correct products to satisfy your individual needs. We have more technical equipment available for more advanced players as well as equipment for beginners. We can ensure that you can find all of the best bowling products here with us!

We offer ball customizations for our customers to cater to their unique preferences as well as repair services. We have bowling lessons available for beginners who want to get into the field or previous bowlers looking to increase their skill levels. We’ll provide private lessons to those who prefer to learn one-on-one. We want to guarantee that all of your needs are taken care of here!

Al Hardesty helped tweak my (used) bowling ball a couple of times until it now feels perfect. It's cool to see a bunch of high scores with signatures on the west wall. Look for Carlton Fisk watching over the shop from a picture frame. "They don't make 'em like that anymore," Al said when I mentioned the old Red/White Sox catcher. Too true.
